FIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give"._ Winston Churchill

Oh boy, Oh boy, it's almost here. I have some last minute paperwork to get ready and then it's time to start packing. I have a spare bedroom full of stuff that I have been buying for the last few months that of course, needs to go to China. Now to get all of that precious stuff in suitcases and get them to the airport without throwing our backs out. Luggage is suppose to only weigh so much. That's when packing becomes tricky. I like to pack for the just in case I might need it. I am going to use my bathroom scales and just start weeding out what I guess we could live without.

TWO MORE WEEKS

"Happiness is only real when shared"

I heard this quote on Opera today and how true it is. We hope to bring this little girl so much happiness that once we get her she will never look back. Two weeks from today we will be heading to Cleveland to spend a night in a Hotel so we can get up bright and early and get to the airport. If I could put the little girl in the pink dress in my suitcase and bring her home I would also.(no not for us).

"Three Weeks and Counting"

"A Journey Of a Thousand Miles Begins With A Single Step"

The plane tickets are bought and Hotel reservations made. It's really going to happen. We are also going to Hong Kong Disney at the end of our trip. Since we are in Guangzhou for the entire time we are very close to Hong Kong. After our consulate appointment we are taking a train to Hong Kong and spending two nights in Disneyland. If by this time Addison still doesn't like us maybe the Disney trip will win her over.

To watch the Video below just scroll to the bottom of the page and turn my music off. Addison is the little one in front with the purple and white dress on. The little girl setting on the floor in the white dress is also getting adopted from my agency.

Doing the Happy Dance!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure that we can kick our legs that high, but we are happy to at least have a date for travel. We are not going to be able to go to China when we wanted to because of scheduling problems on China's side so now we are leaving on Oct. 6th and getting Addison on Oct. 8th. Our Gotcha Day for Ali was Oct. 9th. so at least we can celebrate Gotcha Day at the same time. We waited all of these months so I guess we can wait another 3 weeks. I sure hope it goes fast.

WE HAVE OUR TRAVEL APPROVAL

We received the long awaited call Thursday. Our Travel Approval has came. Our agency has requested a Sept. 27th consulate appointment and that would put us traveling next Sat. the 15th. Months and months of waiting and waiting and when it comes time it doesn't seem real. I would like to get excited about leaving next Saturday but there has been other families that requested the same consulate appointment and there agency said it was a no go. SOOOOOOOOO hear I sit again waiting on the US consulate to decide weather we travel Sat. or not. I should know something Monday morning. I sure have my fingers crossed. If we don't get our appointment on the 27th I am not sure when we will be able to travel. Oct. is a bad month for adoptions in China. (of course).

The picture of Addison is from some people that went to China in July to work at the orphanage . This family that is adopting a child from our agency knows these people and sent me there web-site and BINGO there were all kinds of pictures of Addison and other children in the orphanage. It just makes me want to get there even more. The other picture is a letter that I had sent to Addison with a lady bug bracelet. The lady that translates these letters and sends them for people also calls the orphanages and checks to make sure they received them. Ann is her name and she lives in Guangzhou. She called the orphanage and talked to the director about Addison. The director told her that Addison had received all the the stuff that we have sent her and she loved them. They also told her that Addison was very happy about being adopted and was anxious to meet us. Well, we are anxious to see her also, so come on US consulate let us go next Sat.
