The orphanage staff couldn't believe how Addison had adjusted to us and how happy she looked. They took us to her finding sight (where she had been found as a baby), then it was time to say goodbye. I wondered how Addison would do but, she just smiled and waved goodbye climbed up on my lap in the Van and was ready to go back to the Hotel. That orphanage life is now behind her and she has such a bright future ahead of her. The next two days we are just hanging around the Hotel and Thursday is our consulate appointment, which it can't come fast enough. We had a big day today and I feel very content on how it went. Addison is a very happy girl and we are blessed to have her.

My gosh Vickie if you continue with this I won't be able to work. I feel like taking the day to just blubber. My throat just aches, (glad I ate before I read this not sure if I coud have swallowed). Any way, sooo glad that Addison knew that she was at the best place possible. Just leave your clothes and throw a couple little ones in your cases. We'll all get together and buy new clothes. (like pretty long johns for Robin).
Love ya,
Sharon
I'm so happy to hear that the visit to the orphanage went so well. I know we were all thinking about you and hoping that it went well.
Hopefully you won't have to have anymore interesting meals! I'm sure a grilled cheese sounds pretty amazing right about now! Haha!
You guys look like your enjoying that wine alittle too much! I've never seen such a fake smile out of both of you before. HaHa. I'm so glad you got to meet that couples little girl. They are going to be so excited. You do know you guys are such pros at this adopting thing were going to have to start are own agence. I think between us, Jessica,Cheryl,Sharon and grandma we would have the best around! I'm so happy the children we have adopted have ajusted so well. Guess were not too nuts after all.
Love Ya and miss Ya, Gina
You know the food is less than appetizing when Ali doesn't even want it. Tell dad I know what that "taking one for the team" is like so I sympathize.
I'm happy Addison's visit to the orphanage went well. I was concerned, as I am sure we all were, about her returning considering how long she has lived there.
So, exactly how much toasting did you do??? At this point in your adventure a few shots of wine probably fit the bill.
Mom, the girls preppy tennis vests at the orphanage visit looked adorable.
Sharon, you just book a flight to China pick up a little girl and tell your husband "look what I found". We'll support you. You can come and live with us when he kicks you out.
And while you are there you can take Amanda with you and she can get one too. As long as I am not on the plane all is good. You guys can bring back as many as you want as long as none of them are coming to my house. Ali has made quite an impression on my husband. As a matter of fact he said something about unfortunately the plane that took Ali to China is going to bring her back (LOL). Hey, he said it with a smile, he loves her in his own special way.
Anyway, gotta go and finish my homework so we can put together our campaign posters tonight!!!!
Take care, love you, be careful, enjoy your meals!!!!!!
Love, angel
Well we all know that I can put food away, and I can't think of anything I won't eat, but crab like things with hair. No thanks! Rick and I are trying to watch our food intake, maybe China is the answer. Well anyway I am so glad the Addison responded so well by going back to see her friends. That just shows you how happy she is and how well she will adapt in her life. Just wait till she actually sees how many people are in her family and how much we love her. Ali just cracks me up with everything that she says and does. Addison is lucky she has such a great sister. Well it seems like this trip is so much longer than the last one or I have lost some of my patience as I become older. Can't wait to see you all.
Love Darlene
I have a little lab humor for you all. After slowing down today (Iam at work) I started to really look at the pictures. Bringing them in really closeup. I was looking at the children from the orphanage when Sue (co-worker) opened a container that had poo in it. The smell started creepy up behind me just as I was looking very close at their feet. Man it made me feel like I was there. If anyone would like to have this experience all you need is a butter container bowl and a little stool and someone to open and wave the lid behind you as you look. I am telling you its just like being there.
Love ya,
Darlene
Up to my elbows in Sh____ right now got to go!
OK, I can't top Darlene's poo. When she called & told about it I thought she said they opened soup. (You know my hearing!!) What a surprise when I read this and it said poo!!! Only Darlene!
After seeing all the little kids I know what you mean about bringing them all home. You will be bringing the two cutest ones. See you soon.
Love,
Mom
Hey guys,
I know for certain I couldn't do the food in China. I about get sick just thinking about it. I agree with Jessica, a grilled cheese sounds good.
The kids all look so cute. It about breaks my heart to see them and wonder what they are thinking about why someone is not there to get them. Sharon, I'm sure there's one waiting just for you.
When I saw Addison with the other kids, she wasn't just one of the kids, she was our Addison (with bows in her hair). Can't wait for you to get back.
Love,
Cheryl
Hey Darlene, how long of a shift have you worked today. Seems like tooooooo long of one. Hope you can rest soon Lova Ya any how Gina
I have to admit I agree with Mom. I can't beat the poo story. Not sure that I want to. But Addison is one lucky girl. I mean look she has ME for an Aunt. What more could a kid want?
She is really one of us now. And like I said earlier......the legs confirm it. She is Grandpa all over. And what man was loved more then him?
Can't wait till you can bring that little one HOME!!!!!!!!
Love ya,
Sharon
